20200325 Day 3

Ella Mae's Post

What a fun day today!

Firstly, I woke up and ate my breakfast. Later in the morning, I went to walk to the pretend school. After that, we baked a chocolate chip brownies which tasted absolutely delicious.

Then we did some NAPLAN workbooks. I thought mine was too easy and didn't learn anything.

I also played some online games on websites called Seussville and National Geography. Some games we played on Seussville were How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Green Eggs and Ham and Fox in Socks.

We drove to my violin teacher's house to pickup my rosin. We went to run around in circles at Glen Waverley Reserve. My dad nearly stepped on a dog poo!

I also spoke to Pop and Nana on the phone in the car.
I talked to my friend, Allanah. I felt happy to see and talk to her again. We had fun laughing and showing lots of things around the house to each other.

Every time we listen to news about Covid-19, it gives me a huge headache and I cannot hear anything. I wish it was all over so I can be with my friends and play at the playgrounds.

Today had good weather. It was cold with a bit of sunshine.

Thomas' Post

Covid-19 is horrible because it kills people. I do not like it. It is filthy.

I woke up at 550am because I heard my sister going to the toilet...soap in the cup. But I went back to bed and lay there until 635am.

I couldn't sleep anymore, so I drew a random drawing. It wasn't really anything but it calmed me down.

Today, I talked on FaceTime with my friend Joseph ET. I was doing Ani-mojis and sticking my tongue out and the tongue came out different colours every time. The dragon and crocodile were probably pretty enormous, but the biggest was the shark! I enjoyed this.

We bake brownies. Mmmm..it was delicious because it had chocolate chips in it and it was sooooo crunchy! I think I had about 4 slices. My daddy ate more than half of it...but since I complained, he will probably devour the whole lot! Maybe if he is nice, he will leave me some crumbs.

I cycled around the neighbourhood. I also did some cyclo-cross riding.

I liked piano practice. I am definitely improving.

Despite my behaviour, I managed to redeem myself and played Minecraft.

It was extremely fun day.

Suet Mun's Post

It was much better today. I think it was easier to move from one activity to another quickly with 30 - 60 minutes between activities.

We try to stick to a routine. We didn't follow the school timetable. We did some activities together such as baking, bike riding, and running around the park. But we also did things separately such as FaceTime with friends, online meeting with colleagues, and study tasks.

All in all, the children were happier today. Perhaps, I did give them more time to sleep and also less of the hurrying them up to meet the imaginary time frame that we had in our heads.

We had to explain to Ella Mae why we shouldn't play in the playground, or touch play equipment or fence palings. She cried and expressed her frustration with Covid-19.

I had an emergency meeting with our Managing Director today with the rest of my colleagues. They announced that due to the virus, they aim to keep everyone on, however, everyone has to take a 20% pay cut. I was thrilled with that decision.

I had a good day. There were lots of hugs and cuddles. Tears too but not as much as the past two days.
